Social Polo creates a Splash at MSAC

Water Polo Victoria has concluded its highly successful 6 week 'Social Polo' program, which offered adult participants an entry into the sport in a casual, fun and informative environment.

With over 30 unique participants attending and almost 100 participations in total over the six weeks, the group learnt the basic skills of egg-beater kick, head-up freestyle, passing and shooting, as well as playing modified games of Water Polo.

Special thanks to Water Polo Victoria affiliated clubs, NYP Dragons, Richmond and Melbourne Surge, who took part in the program by offering their time to come along and teach these new Water Polo enthusiasts about our great sport.

The improvement of all players who attended these sessions was clear to see, even better were the connections and friendships made in the water.

100% of attendees who responded to our survey gave the program either a 9 or 10 out of 10 for enjoyment and would also attend a similar program in Summer 2023.

Water Polo Victoria continues to seek more pathways and touchpoints for people to get involved in the sport of Water Polo, no matter their age, gender, ability or experience. We are excited to grow our programs in the future and get more people in the water with Water Polo.
