State League 1 finals tonight!

The WPV Summer 23-24 State League finals conclude tonight at Caulfield, with Grand Finals for both the Women's and Men's State League 1 competition.

After months of competition and plenty of great Water Polo, it all comes down to these exciting final matches:

WSL1

Caulfield Grammar School 19:15- Footscray v Richmond Tigers

MSL1

Caulfield Grammar School 20:45- Footscray v MC Falcons

All of the teams have had an incredible season, and each club should be proud of their 23-24 Summer season!

The MC Falcons are one of the teams who have had an impressive summer season, finishing strongly and on top of the MSL1 Ladder. We asked the club to share some words on the Falcons before the big match tonight!

"The MC Falcons are still a young team, but their age belies their experience. Many have played together through a number of successful AYC campaigns, as well for Victoria at National State Championships over numerous years. There are also a smattering of Australian squad members and Phoenix players. These boys know each other well, and when playing at their best communicate well and play silky smooth polo. The Falcons are used to playing in big games and the pressure of big moments. Coach Simon Magasanik (aka Arnie), fresh of a SL2 win with the MC Black Balls, will bring the best out of this team tonight and their regular supporters will no doubt be at the pool to cheer them on." Melbourne Collegians.

We invite the WPV community to come down and support all teams and watch some exciting Water Polo as our SL1 competition comes to a close!
