U19s NSC Day 4 - End of Normal Rounds


Day 4 saw the final rounds take place with finals kicking off tomorrow.


The women's team had two tough challeges ahead of them with the first game being against a very strong QLD Maroon team. The Vic team worked extremely hard however QLD came out on top 15 - 4.


The 2nd game of the day saw a great game against Western Australia with a tight first half Vic was only behind by a goal, however some strong play by WA in the third quarter was too much for the team to come back with the final score being 12 - 7 in Western Australias favour.


The women's team finish in 6th position with 3 wins and four losses. They will play against ACT with the winner earning a chance to play for 5th place.


The men's game was against our hosts Western Australia. It was heart in your mouth end to end polo with plenty of defensive efforst from both teams.


At the end of every quarter the scores were level, 2 all in the first, 5 all at half time, and 6 all at 3/4 time where it remained going to a penalty shootout.


Western Australia prevailed in the penalty shootout however Victoria were able to obtain a point to move them into the top four teams


The men's team will now play QLD in the 2 v 3 game with the hope of advancing to the Gold Medal game.
