Water Polo is back in Victoria!

After a long break over the Christmas and New Year period, Water Polo is about to make a big returning splash in Victoria!

As we move into February, Water Polo competitions, pathway programs, tournaments and social events will take place, and there is a lot to be excited about!

WPV Competitions

Our junior clubs will be back in the water this Sunday, February 2nd with matches in the MSAC Dive Pool and at Hawthorn Aquatic! There are six rounds left of our 24-25 summer competition before our Grand Final day on March 30th!

The Senior Summer Splash competition will start from Tuesday the 4th of February, with over 37 teams, from 11 clubs, participating across the divisions. This competition will include 8 rounds taking us into late March!

Tournaments

Water Polo Victoria will be hosting the Victorian Country Championships in Ballarat from February 8th-9th! We are excited to be in Ballarat for the 2025 version of the tournament, after visiting Albury/Wodonga in 2024. The Vic Country Championships showcases the best regional talent and acts as a selection event for the National Country Championships.

The Tri-State tournament will once again see hundreds of junior athletes descend on Geelong from all over regional and metro VIC, as well as Tasmania and regional NSW. Geelong Water Polo Club put on a great event, and we encourage you to check it out on the weekend of February 15th & 16th.

Social Programs

Both our Adult Social Sunday's program, and the junior FlippaBall sessions, will start this Sunday the 2nd of February!

Both of these programs are aimed at those trying Water Polo in a more social,

relaxed setting, and we look forward to welcoming more participants to this great game!

WPV Academy Programs

The WPV Academy & Development programs are back from the 3rd of February! These programs help to build our young talent and move them along the performance pathway. We can't wait to work with both athletes and coaches in these programs.

Phoenix Home Matches

Our Victorian Phoenix are back for the 2025 AWL season, and with plenty of matches at Caulfield Grammar, it is the perfect time to watch some high-quality polo and cheer on our team! Memberships are also available now.

With so much Water Polo coming up, we can't wait to get underway and see you all on pool deck!
