Water Polo Victoria - Chief Executive Officer update

The Water Polo Victoria Board is delighted to announce that, after a robust recruitment process and considering the requirements of the organisation moving forward, we have appointed Regan Longfield as the CEO of Water Polo Victoria with effect from 1 March 2025.
Many of you will already know Regan well, as he has been working with us know for a couple of years in the Development Officer role. Regan has a Masters in Business (Sports Management), and prior to joining WPV was the Team Leader of Clubs & Sport at Swinburne University of Technology. Since joining WPV, Regan has been actively involved in all of our programs but has taken particular ownership of initiatives designed to attract new participants to the sport (both adults and children). This has included Social Sundays, 'Learn to Polo' programs and working closely with schools and swim schools to introduce water polo at a younger age.

“I am really excited to continue working with the vibrant Water Polo Victoria community and believe that together we can grow and develop this great sport.” Regan Longfield, new WPV CEO.
As our new CEO, Regan will build a team to support him and our community deliver on WPV's strategy, which includes a renewed focus on athlete pathways and development of our community coaches, referees, and officials. We look forward to working with Regan and the team.
